A good spot if you are looking for a good soul food restaurant in the Montgomery area. We stopped by here when we were visiting all the black history sites in Montgomery and was very impressed with the food at this establishment. I got bacon Mac and cheese, mango chicken, yams, flounder, hush puppies, and a dinner roll. Everything was delicious with no complaints and I recommend stopping here for something to eat.

Cafeteria style restraunt for the Legacy Museum, its actually in the museum building so you dont see it from the street. Chicken okra mac and cheese bread pudding, I could get used to this food but gf says no you won’t you’ll have a heart attack before you get used to it.

From the time I walked through the door, their service was immaculate. I was greeted with a very warm welcome from a young gentleman. Once I started proceeding to the counter to get to see what I wanted, another young lady at the register greeted me. I don't understand the reviews that were given so negative, because this restaurant actually shows what not only good food is but also the customer service quality was A1. The professionalism is what is most impressive. No loud people holding conversations with their co-workers while trying to take your order. Let's not mention the amazing views it has to offer as well. Far as seeing some reviews saying that it was too pricey. I feel that it was very reasonable. It's not a fast food establishment. If you want quality food this is the place to go. I will definitely be back VERY SOON!

"Absolutely phenomenal experience at Pannie-George Soul Food Restaurant! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The collard greens, fried chicken, fried fish, and macaroni and cheese were nothing short of exceptional - truly authentic Southern down-home cooking at its finest! Lots of Vegetables if you don’t eat meat. What's more, the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, from management to the team, making us feel right at home. Knowing it's a black-owned establishment adds even more value to the experience. Plus, the affordability is unbeatable. Highly recommend for anyone craving delicious, soulful cuisine!" The owner Mrs. Pannie still works at one of the locations. Would love to meet her next time I’m in town. I even meet new friends while sitting & dining alone. Great wonderful place.

After experiencing one of the most memorable museum exhibits of a lifetime, I had the most enjoyable lunch today at Pannie George's Kitchen. The lady preparing the meals was very personable and had a great sense of humor. I had the fried fish, candied yams, string beans, and coleslaw. Everything was excellent!!!! My wife had the 3 vegetable plate and loved it. If you have never visited the Legacy Museum, it will change your perspective on the African American experience in this country. Take your children and then enjoy a family meal at PGK. You won't regret it.

Cafeteria style restaurant located in the Legacy Museum. One chooses their protein and two sides. One pays the cashier and sits down. There is plenty of seating. The mac n cheese was good and cheesy; I also enjoyed their fried fish. Great food!

This Southern style eating establishment is attached to the Legacy Museum. The food reflects a southern lifestyle of foods to include: southern fried chicken, pork chops, fish, macaroni and cheese, okra, collard greens, sweet potatoes, sweet corn, rice, cornbread and gravy, along with many other choices of cooked and prepared food on a cafeteria type style counter. The food is very tasty along with some sweet southern tea!
